Is the Treatment Painful?
You should expect minimal to no pain the day of the procedure. Some patients experience post procedure pain from the treatment. This is generally reasonably well controlled with Tylenol and/or heat and ice.
Is the treatment covered by insurance and how much does it cost?
At this time unfortunately regenerative medicine injections are not covered by insurance. Please discuss the cost with your doctor. Some patients choose to finance the cost through a medical loan company at a very favorable rate.
Is the Treatment FDA approved?
Currently the treatment is not fully approved by the Food and Drug Administration, and for good reason. Stem Cell therapy is considered investigational and experimental, and more research and data collection is required before we know the long-term benefits of this technology for patients. The FDA’s position is geared toward protecting vulnerable patients from “deceitful” providers and actors, making false and unsubstantiated claims of cures for serious illnesses, and doing so for profit. At Stem Cells Cleveland we take this very seriously. We do not use Umbilical Cord Banked Stem Cells, and we do not manipulate our cells using enzymes. All treatments are entirely organic, natural, autologous grafted cells from bone marrow. This is in line with the FDA’s current published position.
